So now I have the hdwe running. df reports:

Not seen above is about 10G of swap on the same disk as /buildbot and 
/hold are living, its a 1T toshiba drive. Easing the load on the 128G 
u-sd it boots from.
But now I'm trying to get my head around amanda, which has changed so 
much in the 5 years I last had it running, that I'm lost.
So I need a startup tutorial. Things like where did the disklist go as 
I've not found a reference to it in my limited reading of the current 
docs?  Obviously I'm going to need to learn it from square one.  I've 
done nothing but install the arm64 debs, and as a "first light" exercise 
I want to do this machine's /home directory. That's going to be around 
1T for size as there's hundreds of g-code files for 3d printers there, 
and slicer output is bulky. Could be 50k LOC peer layer if the part is 
complex.

Help please.

IDK if this list accepts pix???, this whole thing is built in a 6 drive 
cage with a printed doghouse on top containing a 5vx20A supply & small 
fan. with 2, 7 port usb-3.2 hubs supplying the needed fast ports to 5 ea 
4T SSD's and the 1T Toshiba. cage as a 5" fan for cooling, both current 
24V fans running lazily on 5 volts. Might burn 50 wats during a run. 15 
idling. 2 of those hubs because these SSD's need 4A when writing so I 
had to split the load to keep the hubs online, one shuts down from 
overheat. Might not be the least power hungry amanda setup but sure 
beats a 350 watt old Dell like a white mouthed mule...

Yeah, I'm an old CET, that box people are supposed to think in? Only a 
suggestion to me. But I'm also going to be 91 in 4 months if I live that 
long. Diabetes for 40+ years might enter into that. The usual pacemaker, 
a few stents and a load of daily pills try to keep me going.  And I'm 
glad to be back.
