And have edited /etc/amanda/DailySet1/amanda.conf and disklist in the
same dir to get this from amcheck DailySet1:
backup@amanda:/etc/amanda/DailySet1$ amcheck DailySet1

Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
--------------------------------
ERROR: amanda.coyote.den: selfcheck request failed: error sending REQ:
write error to: Broken pipe
Client check: 1 host checked in 1.084 seconds.  1 problem found.
(brought to you by Amanda 3.5.1) (which I thought was 3.5.4 when I
installed it from bookworms repo's)

So I'm making progress in microsteps.  However those 2 missing log and
database directories default to someplace on the u-sd card it boots
from. And I see both as abuse of the life of the u-sd, not to mention
its glacially slow. It also so far knows nothing about the raid6 it will
use for vtapes. Assume I make 100 tapes, is there enough room in dm-1
below for the log AND ALL database files?? Its nearly 15G.

root@amanda:/usr/share/doc/amanda-server/examples# df /dm-1 (is onboard
16G eMMC=fast)
Filesystem     1K-blocks  Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mmcblk1p1  14923320    28  14143620   1% /dm-1

For the curious, vtapes will be in:
root@amanda:/usr/share/doc/amanda-server/examples# df /myraid
Filesystem               1K-blocks    Used   Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg0-myraid 11272913680 1055760 11271857920   1% /myraid

IOW just over 11 TiB. And even with monitor, much less than 100 watts
power drain.

Thank you, all.

Cheers, Gene Heskett, CET.
