For the last 6 months I was quietly hoping to bring OptiPNG to 1.0
status, by finishing the lossless image reduction, integrating the
7-Zip compression, and implementing a small but cheap improvement
in zlib deflation. I had just restarted the development this week,
and I will go on, slowly, but without a major interruption in the
next months. Hopefully...

After I finish that, and if time permits, I will think again about
taking over the maintenance of the Info-ZIP tools. Thanks again for
the offer!
