Doug,

Yes, I did resolve the problem and it is working well. Unfortunately, It has
been a while since I install info-zip and I don't remember what I did to
resolve the problem.

We are on os/390 V2R10.

I would be glad to help if you decide to install it.

Mr. Soloman, did you ever resolve this issue for 2.10?  I am a rookie at all
this but interested in trying to setup a freeware zip program for use on our
R2.10 system (actually we are R2.9, building 2.10).  What version of Z/Os

Hello, I installed INFOZIP for MVS 2.3 (zip23xM.xmit) under OS/390 V2R6 
and it has been working great using the following JCL: 
//STEP1 EXEC PGM=ZIP,PARM='/-a dd:input ''TXXX.DATASET''' 
//STEPLIB DD DSN=TXXX.INFOZIP.ZIP23XM.LOAD,DISP=SHR 
//INPUT DD DSN=TXXX.MYZIP4.ZIP,DISP=(,CATLG),UNIT=SYSDA 
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=* 
//* 
I downloaded the zip23xM.xmit file from
<ftp://ftp.uu.net/pub/archiving/zip/MVS/.> 
Recently we upgraded our OS/390 to V2R10 and INFOZIP for MVS 2.3 quit
working. The JCL above will error under OS/390 V2R10 as follows: 
IEF375I JOB/TXXXZIP1/START 2002293.1551 
IEF376I JOB/TXXXZIP1/STOP 2002293.1551 CPU 0MIN 00.04SEC SRB 0MIN 00.00SEC
Translating to ASCII... :zip warning: name not matched: 'TXXX.DATASET' zip
error: Nothing to do! (dd:input) 
Has anyone out there experienced this problem? Thanks
