Hi....

I just tought I would let you know that the problem actually ended up being
a hardware problem. We were getting IO errors on the filesystem we were
using (an Ext3 on a SAN).

As it happened we were due to move this to a new SAN.....since we did this,
I have setup a test which continually runs the upload part of our system and
checks the files created.....it has been running for 2 days straight, and no
erros so far.

We still don't know what piece of hardware is causing the problem and its a
bit strange that we haven't seen this before (or else it just coincidentally
happened when I started using star).

Anyway, it seems the problem is solved.....

Thanx for all the replies thus far.

Chris.
