This is indeed the case.  It was made with 1.5a5something IIRC.

That's great news.  I'll let you know if the problem is really gone now.

BTW, of course I was able to successfully retrieve the directory after
doing a full restore of the incremental dumps.  In the given case, this
didn't really cause much trouble.  Sometimes, however, I may not have
the disk space nor the time available to do a full restore.
