Unfortunately, I'm off site for the next day or two so I'm speaking from memory... I did have a quick glance at the make log and there were a number of "Nos" during the make check phase. It seems that your make file is very tolerant :) and, rather than bombing out, it does the best job it can for the given target. I probably need some extra XATTR/ACL libraries installed. Is there a definitive list of Linux library/kernel/filesystem dependencies somewhere that will give me full functionality of latest version? Will report back when I get this working...I think it will be useful info for other new Linux users like myself. Thanks again for all the help. Vincent
