The archive you send in your mail was defective but it did _not_ include
file flags.

Many Linux distributions are known to come with defective include files
but this is flagged by "configure". Other Linux distributions come with
_missing_ include files. Overall, Linux is as bad a Microsoft when it is
used to develop or compile software as Many files that are needed in order
to create linux specific features by default are missing or defective.

If star could be compiled _with_ file flag support, _and_ if you did use the
right archive format, you will see:

22 SCHILY.fflags=schg

in the extended POSIX.1-2001 attributes for the "immutable" file.
