open source daw controller

Hello @ all.

because i am new on this list at first i want to introduce myself: my
name is georg and i come from germany (so please excuse mistakes of
language ;). i am very interestet in electro-technics and recording
music (and i use ardour for this).

The last time i played with the arduino platform and had the idea to
build an open source daw controller based on arduino for ardour.
At the moment its just an idea. i want to do some tests, but i have no
idea about how to make the daw controller work with ardour.

i would be very happy if you comment on this idea or could help me.
