The ardour-dev mailing list is going away

The hosting company that provides facilities for ardour-dev has decided to
end all mailing lists on its systems. Since ardour-dev was almost entirely
replaced by other facilities many years ago (IRC, most notably), I think it
is time to end the mailing list. We will keep archives of the list for
historical purposes in some form at ardour.org, but the list itself will
cease to exist.

The precise timeline for this is not clear, but it will be sometime during
June.

Thanks to everyone who ever contributed to the mailing list.

ps. We will also be ending the ardour-users mailing list. However the
ardour-cvs list, which notifies people about changes to the code, will
continue on some other hosting service.
