Locking that assistant out was something I tried, but it led to even more noise than letting him roam <https://youtu.be/WyGp2WZH8gY>. Fortunately, the owner of this one moved out. We got two more capable pest control assistants instead (and another one just deciding to stay here as well) and they have fixed working hours during which they will not be permitted in the house at all and are supposed to work the stables.
