With the mention of Bitwig (configured for jackd) for a groove-centric sort of comparison, one thing must be added: Bitwig's audio handling is far from stellar. It will crash the audio very often, rendering it full of crackles while Mixbus, a minute later, will play a session without any problems. Actually, even firefox will play a youtube video w/o any audio problems. Restart Bitwig, and it will play the audio full of crackles. Restart jackd, restart Bitwig with an empty template, add one Linux pianoteq instrument, audio is still full of crackles. Start Mixbus, load a 35 track session, audio is OK. The only thing that gets Bitwig out of this mess is seemingly a reboot. If it could have the robustness of Ardour/Mixbus regarding audio ... It clearly doe snot at this point in time. _______________________________________________ Ardour-Users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or change your mailing preferences please visit: http://lists.ardour.org/listinfo.cgi/ardour-users-ardour.org
