I have a MacBook Air laptop 10.13.6, 2015. I have successfully downloaded open source programs from the internet several times but there have been times when I get a notification that I am only able to download software from the Mac app store. Since I’d like to contribute a donation to use Ardour I’d like to know before I enter my credit card info and for the monthly subscription. I called Apple and they didn’t know so I’m hoping someone has the answer.
