The context is the following. Using Linux Mint 18 KDE, Mixbus32C has some problem resizing plugin Windows *upwards* from their original display size. Thgis was largely fixed concerning the u-he plugins in the recent release, although this seems to be a specific fix concerning a specific problem with the native u-he plugins. Using Melda Production plugins with a linvst bridge (wine-staging) the resizing does not work at all. and the thing is, the Melda plugins are resizing a lot, depending on options chosen. That makes them of very limited use in such a context. Now if I compare with Bitwig on the same system, Bitwig does not resize either. But, minimizing the plugin and bringing it back will display the plugin with the new size. So it becomes a matter of minimizing and redisplaying a plugin to get the new size it has changed to. Which is not seamless, but it's also not that much of an overhead. Hence, if it was posible for Ardour/Mixbus32C to query the size a plugin wants (most probably like it does at first launch since after all Mixbus32C has to know what size of a plugin window to display) when brining back the plugin after being minimized, it would solve the problem. Thus my question. _______________________________________________ Ardour-Users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or change your mailing preferences please visit: http://lists.ardour.org/listinfo.cgi/ardour-users-ardour.org
