This remains the case with the latest alpha commit to Master
Audacity 3.0.3 b1f05e5

The white rectangle with the Audacity logo and text appears and then
disappears, with no launch

It is a regression on this recent alpha that I have

Audacity 3.0.3 dad9823

As the finder, are you going to log this Steve ?
