bug 2719 - screenshots

Although it's only a "P3" bug, for support issues we could really do
with bug 2719 being fixed as soon as possible. Screenshots are an
invaluable tool for discussing certain types of end user problems and
it is extremely helpful to have a cross-platform way to get
screenshots that are a reasonable size and an appropriate format for
