If you are seeing no change at all, it seems like you are making some mistake. Is the modified file called exactly ChangeTempo.cpp? You might be able to get some help with that here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=19 but you will need to be willing to share the modified file and say what operating system you are using.
