There is HD Audio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-resolution_audio, however, unless he just likes backing up bigger files, I doubt he would hear any improvement over 44.1/16 CD Audio. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f4/High-resolution_audio.svg/1063px-High-resolution_audio.svg.png Whatever.
