That is why I wrote "if you manage to solve this, please share your solution". Myself I solved it by disconnecting the USB cable from that USB-cassette player to the pc and use audio cables instead, connecting the device to the audio card of my PC. First then I saw the difference between the left and right audio channels. When the USB is in my computer (the one that works) there is no option that says "USB". I'm using an Asus Windows 10 and Audacity 2.3.0.
