Over recent years, activity on [email protected] had dwindled to almost nothing, and very few members of the Audacity team, other than myself, ever read or replied to posts on this list, so it was failing as a means of supporting Audacity users. On the other hand, the Audacity forum has been thriving, with a team of dedicated, knowledgeable enthusiasts providing effect support for thousands of Audacity users. I had hoped that when the audacity-users mailing list was closed, there would have been a final message for the last few users to reassure them that support was still available albeit at a different location (the forum). Unfortunately, that does not appear to have happened.
