I'm only peripherally involved. I did a bunch of changes to bosdl last year (it now does way more than the screen shot shows), and plan to pick it up again. Sound is now a hopelessly mess on my box, and it will have to wait until I get another. Bossogg may or may not be active, they've not longer do the project on sourceforge: See bossogg.wishy.org The main developers are using their own cvs (not cvs) and conduct all their discussions on irc. So the project looks dead on sourceforge - even if it isn't. Great UI compared to mythtv or freevo, and quite a bit lighter.
