Why do some discs show up with a track 00 during 'cdparanoia -B' rips? I looked at the file and it is a header followed by all nulls. Disc: Metallica / Black Album $ cdparanoia --query cdparanoia III release 9.7 (December 13, 1999) (C) 1999 Monty <[email protected]> and Xiphophorus Report bugs to [email protected] http://www.xiph.org/paranoia/ Table of contents (audio tracks only): track length begin copy pre ch =========================================================== 1. 24868 [05:31.43] 32 [00:00.32] no no 2 2. 24342 [05:24.42] 24900 [05:32.00] no no 2 3. 17080 [03:47.55] 49242 [10:56.42] no no 2 4. 29035 [06:27.10] 66322 [14:44.22] no no 2 5. 30318 [06:44.18] 95357 [21:11.32] no no 2 6. 18022 [04:00.22] 125675 [27:55.50] no no 2 7. 18330 [04:04.30] 143697 [31:55.72] no no 2 8. 29155 [06:28.55] 162027 [36:00.27] no no 2 9. 19245 [04:16.45] 191182 [42:29.07] no no 2 10. 23140 [05:08.40] 210427 [46:45.52] no no 2 11. 30723 [06:49.48] 233567 [51:54.17] no no 2 12. 17542 [03:53.67] 264290 [58:43.65] no no 2 TOTAL 281800 [62:37.25] (audio only) $ Is it beacuse of the begin at 32? Why doesn't cdparanoia use the table of contents instead of insisting on ripping that initial bit? (Why did the cd pressing plant not start the disc at 0?)
