WARNING: There has recently been some considerations about the patch which enables that '-P' switch, which in some cases helps reading TOC from Cactus Data Shield-protected discs and also changes the read command. Yesterday I stumbled across a bug in that patch, which means that it should not be applied to other than static builds, i.e. _DO NOT_ compile a paranoia library with it! The reason for this is that it changes the arguments of cdda_open, which means that some Linux packages (like MPlayer) are unable to compile correctly after that! I am currently effectively re-writing that patch to fix both this issue and separate the TOC read and read command switch features (as that also causes problems in some drives).
