Hi,

be invited to try the new version 1.1.6 of my program cdrskin,
a burn backend for CD, DVD and BD with a command line interface
compatible to cdrecord.

System requirements:
Linux with kernel 2.4 or 2.6: libc, libpthread
or FreeBSD : libc, libpthread, IDE and SATA drives need atapicam
or Solaris : libc, libpthread

Changes:

* Worked around a collision with Linux udev which lets device
  links vanish.
In configurations with few kernel events, e.g. Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.2
without running desktop, it is possible to lose /dev/cdrw for
quite a long time, if a burn program loads the tray and then burns.
The workaround reduced the probability for this mishap by giving
udev a time window to inspect the loaded media.

There is a cdrskin release tarball (containing libburn):

  http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-1.1.6.tar.gz

and its detached signature file:
  http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-1.1.6.tar.gz.sig
by which the download may be verified:
  gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys ABC0A854
  gpg --verify cdrskin-1.1.6.tar.gz.sig cdrskin-1.1.6.tar.gz

scdbackup.sourceforge.net is mirrored at scdbackup.webframe.org .

cdrskin is also part of the libburn-1.1.6 SVN tag:
  http://svn.libburnia-project.org/libburn/tags/1.1.6
(needs autotools >= 1.7 to apply command ./bootstrap)

and of the libburn-1.1.6 release tarball:
  http://files.libburnia-project.org/releases/libburn-1.1.6.tar.gz
(needs only vanilla tools for ./configure ; make)
