Unfortunately, I could not get dvd+rw-mediainfo to work.

It fails on one of the ioctl() calls in Scsi_Command::associate()
# dvd+rw-mediainfo /dev/dsk/c4t0d0s0
/dev/dsk/c4t0d0s0: unable to open: Inappropriate ioctl for device
