In principle: yes.

But cdrskin can combine options -sao and -isosize
and thus can burn ISO images which it receives
from stdin to CD as SAO resp. to DVD as DAO.

(No need to apply padding in these modes, btw.)


DVD DAO is said to be preferrable for standalone
DVD players (see dvd+rw-tools docs).
I am not aware of any such reason if the intended
readers are DVD drives in computers.
