Re: code space / speed question

A better question is what are your requirements or what do you consider a low power micro?  There are some optimization techniques that can be applied but they tend to be micro specific.

I'm looking to see what the cheapest way to make a codec with speex is.  Has anyone tried using a low-powered microcontroller to decode the audio?  How much RAM and "MIPS" are required?
