IMO this entire subject needs wide general discussion.

The basic question is: What is (are) the basic function(s) of the canonical Csound Manual? As the basic reference for all things Csound, how does z(or should) it serve the needs of composers, performers and researchers?

A related matter, perhaps, is what the various Csound distributions should include.
