I forgot about the IrDA port completely as I haven't used it yet (just

try out the pocketop ir keyboard). The ir port might be OK if 
everything was
static in the gig and if everything is static then a clunky old laptop 
would
be a much safer bet. But if the idea is to be able to move around and 
do stuff
then being able to fire off sequences from the z while you're doing 
something
else could be pretty cool. I'm not too sure how well ir would handle 
that. I
suspect it would be pretty chancy.
