granular synthesis can ony be acheved by software processing, 
NI reactor has a few granular modules, VST also has some plugs like cronoX and tc spark FX machines with its granializer module.

then there used to be chaos synht , a stand alone synth for granular synthesis...

	Granular synthesis has been included in commercial soft synths and

	I remember reading an article on the Internet where someone hacked
their Clavia Nord Lead to do granular synthesis. I don't have the time to
track it down right now. I couldn't find it using google.com, I think the
article was in a Yahoo! Group.
