granular synthesis can ony be acheved by software processing, NI reactor has a few granular modules, VST also has some plugs like cronoX and tc spark FX machines with its granializer module. then there used to be chaos synht , a stand alone synth for granular synthesis... simon -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Conder [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: 16 October 2003 05:54 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [CsndTek] =?iso-2022-jp?B?R3JhbnVsYXIgaW4gY2x1YiBtdXNpYz8=?= On Mon, 13 Oct 2003 Nohohondesu-jqGaMwjwha9Wk0Htik3J/[email protected] wrote: > Can someone point me to granular synthesis in action, in dance music?? Granular synthesis has been included in commercial soft synths and also been used in delay plug-ins. Sorry that I can't provide any examples. > Also, what hardware synth > (standalone) implements granular? Thanks!! I remember reading an article on the Internet where someone hacked their Clavia Nord Lead to do granular synthesis. I don't have the time to track it down right now. I couldn't find it using google.com, I think the article was in a Yahoo! Group. This article has a suggestion on how one would create granular synthesis with a hardware synthesizer (look for "The Poor Person's Grain" section): http://emusician.com/ar/emusic_world_grain_sound/index.htm -- Kevin Conder, kevin-NPx+F0K3cJ/[email protected] _______________________________________________ csoundtekno mailing list [email protected] Subscribe, unsubscribe, change mailing list options: http://plot.bek.no/mailman/listinfo/csoundtekno _______________________________________________ csoundtekno mailing list [email protected] Subscribe, unsubscribe, change mailing list options: http://plot.bek.no/mailman/listinfo/csoundtekno
