Hi Ryan,
Whats happening is that by removing the -+P flag, you are telling Csound to 
compile to a flag. You need to use a realtime audio flag, like -+P this flag is 
for use with CsoundAV and allows use of ASIO drivers. I recommend you download 
this version.
If you wanto to keep using DirectCsound, you can use the -+X flag which will 
enable direct sound output or -+q for MME realtime output.
I hope this does the trick.
