It might be easier to do this by adding open sound control into csound5, I know its supported by other soft synths like pd and reason, but that would make it veryeasy to write a control app in pure python, doing it in c++ would be a lot harder, its better to put that effort into adding OSC support into csound5, and then write the controller app in python instead, using the python OSC library.
