Thanks for the reply.

I will do as you suggest to get me started.  I am sitting my final year at
LCM at the moment so time is tight, but I look forward to using csound for
my electronic compositions in the near future.

Hi Richard, are you on linux or windows? Things are weird right now 
because of the push for Csound5.

In all honesty, I would suggest you start working your way through some 
tutorials on csounds.com using just deferred time. That ought to hold 
you for a while, you'll need to do it anyway, and by the time you are 
done that Michael may well have a usable csound5 beta for windows out 
which will save you hours of frustration trying to sort out versioning 
problems.

No matter what you do you need to learn how csound works anyway ... ; )
