Hardware to room play the collection

I have a cabin where I spend 2-4 weeks and do rent it out a few weeks a
year.


 


We put our iPhones on top of one of those iHome boom boxes from Bed Bath and
Beyond.


 


I'm not satisfied that I have my phone organized to play when I go there.


 


What hifi setup would you use to play your library, especially if flac
format and not itunes compatible.


 


Hoping for something I can plug an external drive into and then that
"something" has a display for seeing the song directories -is that something
only a computer?


 


Then I figure wireless speakers.


 


All for a setup that is not too pricey in case it gets stolen.
