Fred: sorry about that. Had I thought about it, I'd probably have 
deleted the signature quote before posting, even though it's not a 
political position so much as a character analysis. For some reason I'm 
getting away with it at work so far, though. I wasn't intending to 
provoke, and I am willing to apologize to anyone who finds my choice of 
quotes to be offensive, as I am an equal-opportunity offender. I believe 
in comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable, as the 
saying goes.

I appreciate and am grateful for your understanding. Would "Merry 
Christmas" and "Happy Hanukkah" be appropriate now?
