I think another fix would be an exclusion filter to filter out "the" "a" and such per user settings.  My Squeezebox has done this since day one. So basically what happens is that when you browse for The Beatles, it filters out "the" and searches the string for the next character and uses that to sort so Beatles shows up under b instead of t.When I rip i'm pretty anal so if there is a the in front I rip it that way. That's how I have EAC creating the folders also. Foobar does not but I've learned to deal with it.
