router for cable internet provider

Official "Exact Audio Copy" Discussion GroupAfter years with DSL, I’m moving into a place with cable.  I need to have a router to hook up more than one thing to the internet.  I was reading reviews or routers and one of them, which was otherwise much loved, had a comment saying that downloading torrents caused it to crash and a reboot of the system was required.  I can’t find that model now but I remember that the commenter said that it had minimal memory.

Taking all of that into account, can somebody recommend a router for use with cable internet?  I’d rather not use wireless (and don’t need to – everything is close together).
