My 2 additional cents on the subject :

1. Try to run flac manually on your wav file with the exact same options that EAC generates, and see whether it works, or what actual message flac gives
2. I noticed in the screen capture of your external compression options that you have « .flac » listed as file extension to use. When I did that, I had a conflict that prevented the compression from working fine. I don’t remember what it was, it was several years ago, but since then, I have out there « .fla » instead of « .flac » and that fixed it. Not sure whether you would have the same problem, but at this stage, it’s worth trying... :-)
