Three pages of Google show nothing relevant for MAREO.  Any other thoughts?

1.  Yes it can be done.  You would need to use something like MAREO.  As to how, Google is your friend.

2.  If you want to transcode from FLAC to EAC, then you should get a something designed for transcoding, such as FlacSquisher.

3.  The resultant MP3 files would be the same regardless of what lossless format you started with.  The advantage to using WAV is that it would likely be faster as it would not need to be uncompressed prior to conversion.

If I understand correctly, ripping a CD produces a wav file which can then be converted to any format I choose.  That leads to the following questions:

 

1.       Can I convert to both FLAC and MP3 with EAC?  I understand I would need LAME installed, but can both be done and what is the process?
