How to determine the write offset with offset test CD

Hi,
 

 the hint on the "Create Offset Test CD" claims I can use the CD for determining both read & write offsets. However I've only found out how to determine the read offset from it which is when using it against the "Detect read sample offset correction.." function.
 

 I'm aware I could determine the write offset by comparing 2 WAV files in the built-in editor but since the test CD is claimed to be eligible for the job too I prefer this one since I suppose it's the easier method.
 

 Could you please provide me with/refer me to some instructions how to do it? I apologise in advance if it's a trivial question but unfortunately the documentation is not complete and one has to look for various pieces of information which are scattered over different places on the Internet.
