Your worries are unfounded. When FLAC files are sent to the player, they 
are sent in uncompressed form. The player never has to uncompress a FLAC 
file.

Also, the file size should be a lot smaller than a 15% reduction from 
the size of a .wav file. I usually get reductions of 30-40 percent.
