 You are wrong.  A FLAC file is compressed by nature.  From xiph.org:  "audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file."
 

 I have a .flac file of the song Dreams by The Cranberries.  I put it into a .zip file.  The .zip file is 464 bytes larger, so how is that compressed compared to the FLAC file.
 

 Your argument is like saying that a .rar file is uncompressed unless it's stored within a .zip file.
