I'm not sure what all you are asking but I can answer that easy part. You do not have to rerip the files you already have. You can set up another directory structure any way you like and copy or move your present files there. If your naming convention is wrong for some reason, you can change the file name any way you like without changing the file in any way. Obviously, you can't change the file extension. If you files are in a NAME.wav format, you can't change it to NAME.mp3 without running them through a converter.
I don't have a NAS hooked up to my music system, but I do have a RAID array where I keep all my music backed up so I don't loose them all.....again! I have a similar directory structure to you except mine all take the format of:
Artist\Album\nn.nn Artist - song title
I like to be able to look at a song file and know both the song title and the artist.
I go a little beyond most with the nn.nn convention. I have all my albums numbered so I like to know which album the song comes from. So imagine that my directory structure looks like this:
Artist\Album01\01.01 - Artist - Song#01
This is mostly to satisfy the playing order of the songs when I'm playing them on my FIIO X1 music player.

I have just joined the forum and have been using EAC to rip my audio CDs. The usability of EAC is great. The ripped format is WAV and have used the following Filename configuration which allows me to view the files in the associated Directory structure created.

Having ripped around 200 CDs I have also just moved all the files to my new QNAP NAS. QNAP's native media centre Music Station is however not adding the files to the library. This could be an issue with QNAP itself and may be due to the fact that the folder structure is not supported. Not sure myself and have raised a ticket with QNAP. If QNAP come back with the folder structure being the issue, can I, without having to rip all the CDs again to the appropriate Filename configuration alter the files using EAC or a utility?
Any suggestions from the the forum will be greatly appreciated.
