You could have a look at www.personalgroupware.com They offer a software titled PG Offline 4 (take version 4.0897) It allows to download all messages from a group and store them in a database on your own computer. For _very_ large groups it may happen thet Yahoo! / Oath stops the download after some thousand messages. Usually you can restart after a fewn hours.
