This isn’t directly and EAC question, but I am hoping there might be some understanding of the problem. I have some different profiles set up for ripping. One rips a CD to flac and ogg another rips just ogg. For the profile that does both I am using the aoTuV version as it seems to be considered the best sounding implementation; however, it doesn’t support adding tags. Since I am ripping both file types and have tags in flac files I don’t worry about this and deal with tags afterwards. When I rip ogg only, I use the oggenc2 version mentioned in EAC documentation, it does support adding tags in the EAC encoding process. Since the tags get passed through and I don’t have another file type with tags I choose to do use this ogg version. Both ogg files will play on any player I use on my PC; however, when I download files to my Samsung android phone the aoTuV files are recognized and play, but the oggenc2 versions can’t be played. The phone says it doesn’t know how to open the files. The aoTuV files play fine. Can anyone explain why this would happen? Thanks, Mike
