noise at the end of a track

(a) Have you tried removing the tags from that one track (use mp3tag) to
see ifthe problem is, in fact, with a tag being misread as audio?
(b) Have you tried ripping UNcompressed, so that you get a WAV instead of a
FLAC file, to see if the "pop" is still there?
(c) if this is the last audio track on the disc, is there anything after
it, e.g., a video or data track? (IOW, is it an "enhanced" CD?)
(d) What is the CD? (Label, number, title?)
