There is amazing and free neat little program called ‘everything’ that will find everything on your computer much better than Microsoft search.

Fair enough.  Those programs did disappear.  The only explanation I could find by searching the google was the MS Update.  Might have been something else.

I guess I’ll find out when I reinstall if things like trac database subscription was lost.

As far as I know my windows 10 is up to date and have not had any issue with programs disappearing.  I would never put anything past Microsoft, but I cannot corroborate your issue.

I don't think it's Windows. I have multiple PCs with Windows 10, 
Audacity, EAC, Foobar, Cuetools, and other similar tools without them 
disappearing or being deleted. If Windows did delete them you could find 
a log of deleted filed by clicking the Windows Security icon in the 
system tray, clicking Virus & threat protection, then Protection 
History. Use the Filters button to see Quarantined and Cleaned Items.
