I am guessing avast and or other similar softwares are somehow blocking it. When u tried admin, were u doing all 3? Meaning logged in as an admin user? Right clicking and installing eac in admin mode? And right clicking and running in admin mode? Have u tried a different user / login profile? Both normal and admin? -mdw Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/ghei36> ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of Jon Hinchliffe [email protected] [EAC] <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 3, 2020 5:57:07 AM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [EAC] Re: Still failing to get to the please wait box Thank you for the suggestion. Good ideas I had not tried. But no joy :-( I have also tried adding and disabling the 2 DVD drives. But no joy. I have also installed registry finder which made searching the registry a lot easier. I didn't find anything of note. I am now baffled as to what actually happened when I did get the starting up box to appear twice since I had this problem. Oh I have tried C:\Program Files (x86)\Exact Audio Copy\EAC.exe -noreadsub -notestunit -nostopcommand in the run box. Still no effect but at least it did start the process so I know it attempted to work unlike when I did it at the command prompt. I guess that is one way forward. Thank you.
