Something I might try if I were in your situation...

Re-install EAC, then use Revo Uninstaller (free) to uninstall it. Revo 
is very good at finding and removing all files and registry entries. 
Then I'd reboot for good measure. Then I'd install EAC again to a 
different location than the default. Then I'd cross my fingers before 
trying to start the program.
