Yes, that's been my experience as well. But USB-powered slim drives
are pretty much all there is nowadays, I found only 2 AC ones easily
available here. Of course I could buy an internal one and stick in an
enclosure, but that's more expensive.

Thanks! I did find the 2016 one when googling, don't know how I
managed to miss the 2019 one.
